Yellowstone 08

In August, we decided that we hadn't taken a family vacation at all this whole summer because Bryan started working at UPS in the mornings, and can't get the time off. Before we went to Yellowstone, I went out and purchased a double stroller. One of those Sit n' Stand ones. I wasn't about to take kids and only hold hands. I felt much better about putting them in the stroller and buckeling them in. People always said it was a scary place to take kids. But, it was on my list of things to see in UT, ID, MT, etc. Yes, we made it to part of Montana. That is one more state I can chalk off my list to see. Nothing there really! Anyways, Yellowstone was absolutely amazing!!! We saw some of the coolest things.

Bryan took this one of the bears! Almost that close! He was crazy!!! The cars just stop to see anything off of the side of the road even if it is a bear! J/K. Anyways, we couldn't see why everyone was stopped, but Bryan told me to get the camera and go take a picture. I got about 75 or 100 feet from the crowd, and someone said there were bears. I was out of there. I took a quick picture and ran. I didn't want to get eaten!!! Anyways, I got back to the car and Bryan asked. I told him and he looked at the picture I took. He yelled and said that you can't even see them. They just look like part of the bushes. So he got out of the car and went to take a bunch of pictures. A little crazy!

We got over to see Old Faithful too! We waited to see it, out in the HOT SUN! Taylor kept saying he couldn't see anything, until it went off. Then he said that was cool, can we leave now? You know it lasts about 10 minutes. I thought it was going to be a quick spray and we had to take the picture quickly. We go to stay in a really cool, rustic cabin that was made out of logs. It had 2 double beds and a bathroom in it. We took coolers to keep all our food cool, and then we went out to dinner. In fact, we went out to Italian for Bryan's Birthday Dinner.

We had a really great time! I don't think we'll be doing it again soon, but we had fun.

Family Pictures

So we finally got around to getting some family picts. These are 3 of my favorite boys in the world. The only outdated thing in the family picture is that we have two dog instead of one. I thought that I would not ever own 2 dogs. But somehow I got talked into housing a second dog, and supposily fell in love. Well, Taylor is 5 in this picture and Hayden is almost a year. The rest of us, well, that will not be mentioned!

Kim Collings

Died Sunday July 27th, 2008 @ 30 years old.
Our dear friend! This past week was such a hard week as Bryan, our little family & his family, lost such a special friend. Kim was a close family friend that Bryan grew up with just around the corner. He took Kim to dances, sent her flowers, and all the sorts that a best friend would do! She lite up a room when she entered & one thing I will never forget is that she loved candy & made the BEST Ginger snaps, even I couldn't make for Bryan. Kim left behind a husband, Chris Collings, and a son, AJ Collings & family and friends. We will dearly miss her, but know and understand she has touched every heart she has come in contact with!
We love you!!!

I'm No Bully!

If you are thinkin' the same thought, I'm no bully is true, you are right. My twinner boys in their Pj's. Grandma Anderson bought them twinner pajamas, and they are soooo stinkin' cute!

Birthday Cake

Hayden loves Balls! So we did a birthday cake like a football and cupcakes like so many other different balls! It was great.

Hayden turned 1! I can't believe that this first year has flown by so fast. Time is so precious with my little ones!!! Thanks to Macey's grocery store, we got a free birthday cake for the person turning 1 year old! The lady wrote the frosting in BLACK. Just FYI, make sure it isn't black with your kid. It was fun watching him dig into the cake, but boy, it was sure messy to clean up. Thank goodness we were at the pool with a hose close by. We had a great time there with friends and a few family members. Nothing huge was thrown because that week we all had the flu at our house. My family (the Metlers) were all out of town. The Anderson family had a quick short BBQ and played a some fun games. What a fun weekend, after the long week with the flu. It was great to feel healthy again.

Mother's Day Pictures!

If you don't have the cutiest kids! We definitely do!!! What fun we had this weekend celebrating Mother's Day and our 8 year anniversary. We surprised Bryan by going up to Midway for the weekend and spending a couple of nights together. It was so cute hear Taylor tell Bryan that we were going to the cabin this weekend. He could not keep a secret! He instantly wispered in Bryan's ear that we were going to the cabin. Bryan explained that we were not going to the cabin for a long time. Not until August. This was the Metler cabin that he was explaining to Taylor (over in OR.) Anyways, Taylor insisted that we were going to the cabin to go camping. It was funny. So, on Friday night, Bryan got home from work and was in the closet looking for something to eat. He was looking all over for his striped cookies. It's the Keebler kind. He got so mad because someone took them. He blamed the neighbor kids, Taylor and then his Mom! He thought his mom took them because she likes them too! I was in almost tears because I had already packed them in a box with some other food and sent them up to the condo with his parents. He started seaching Taylors room under the bed, in his drawers, and was getting really upset becuase he couldn't find the dang cookies... So on Saturday he got home from work, I had the car packed and the kids in it ready to go. We left in the car, and went up to Claim Jumper's to eat dinner. After dinner we went to the condo, got our swimsuits on and went swimming. When we got done, the kids were out and asleep in a matter of minutes after their baths. And that is when the fun begins.... for our 8 year anniversary!
The next day was Mother's Day! What a day I will never forget. Hayden decided that he wanted to be up and at it at 6:15am!!!! I politely got Bryan up and told him it was my day and he could get up with Hayden. The next think I know he came into the room at 7:15 and told me it was now my time with Hayden that he had enough. I got up made breakfast (waffels & fruit) and played with the boys. By 10 am it was now Bryan's turn to get up and face the world! I layed back down for a rest at 10 and got back up at 11. We ate lunch and then went for a ride up to Park City. We played at a park and walked the shops just browsing. Later that day we went back to the condo and I had made Chicken Roll Up's and a nice salad & fruit. (mom's favorite)

It was a fun weekend, but ended early because of Bryan needing to be back at RC Willey for work.

Here are a few cute picts of the Boys this weekend.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all that put in the most effort in the world for the most important job title there is!!!!
